For this project, I really drew inspiration from Cage's "4'33" that was preformed in the forest. I wanted to take the simple sounds of my every day life and make them into a sweet and simple sound track. The feedback that I received from my peers was to possibly layer more sounds rather than having more simple sounds stand on their own. While I appreciate the feedback, I really wanted to stress the simplicity of everyday sounds and how beautiful they can be. I think this was Cage's desire for "4'33", allowing the sounds of everyday life to make music of their own. I feel as though I followed the criteria for the assignment well, by having a clear beginning, middle, and end, a fitting title, and a clear and consistent theme/mood. I enjoyed using the sounds of my everyday life to create my own version of "4'33".
