Brainstorm blog #1

For my zine I am planning on following a "mountains are calling" theme. I plan on using photos of mountains that I personally have taken or other photos of mountain ranges that I have been to. Growing up in Telluride I have a lot of content to work with, so I am looking forward to adding some additional visually appealing details. I plan on adding patterns/designs within the mountains themselves and into the background that wouldn't necessarily occur naturally. I also would like to add some overlaying wildflower drawings into the collages. As for size, I am thinking of doing my zine one size above the mini size that we saw in class today. I have included some inspirational photos that I have found, including one that a friend of mine did herself! I will definitely be pulling all my inspiration from nature. I was also thinking of binding my zine with brightly colored thread that complements the colors of the cover.
